Position Summary

As a Body Shop Technician at Victory Chevrolet GMC Highlands, you will perform high-quality vehicle body repairs in accordance with established procedures. This role requires technical expertise, attention to detail, and strict adherence to safety standards to ensure customer satisfaction through efficient and reliable repairs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Repair and restore vehicles based on assigned work orders.
  • Maintain vehicle cleanliness throughout services and repairs.
  • Keep work areas organized and ensure proper storage of tools, equipment, and supplies.
  • Follow all safety policies and procedures rigorously.
  • Read and interpret work orders accurately.
  • Assist in coordinating parts inventory as needed.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Job Requirements:

Qualifications

  • At least two years of experience in dealer-level or large facility body shop or collision repair.
  • Post-secondary automotive training is preferred.
  • Valid, unrestricted driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Proficiency in welding and operation of A-frame machines.
  • Experience with uni-body repair and measurement systems.
  • Ability to disassemble and reassemble vehicle components effectively.
  • Skillful in refinishing and preparing surfaces for base coat, clear coat, and three-stage paint systems.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
  • I-Car and ASE certifications are advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Professional, dependable, and safety-conscious work attitude.
